Delroy Sledge

Delroy Sledge, 83, of Bowling Green passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 23, 2025.
The Allen County native was born December 23, 1941 to the late Earl and Dahlia Rae Smalling Sledge. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marcia Dearing Sledge; brother, Kimble Sledge; and sisters, Annetta Adkison and Janet Faye Paschal. Delroy was an avid fisherman, gardener who never hesitated to share his bounty with friends and neighbors, and loved spending time with his family and especially his grand-daughters. He loved his furry friend, Mikko.
Survivors include his children, Marcy Sledge of Alvaton, Tracy Sledge of Bowling Green, and Charissa Evans (John) of Alvaton; grand-daughters, Kelsey Gallihugh (Dustin), Grace Evans, and Audrey Evans; great-granddaughter, Mia Gallihugh; brothers, Elmo Sledge and Randall Sledge; and several, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A memorial service will be held at Noon Monday, December 1 at Bethany Baptist Church (659 Alvaton-Greenhill Road, Bowling Green, KY 42103) with visitation time from 10 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Bethany Community Cemetery. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapels has been entrusted with arrangements.
