Mr. Demarcus Flenoy

DeMarcus Flenoy Sr., best known as Marcus, was born on October 7, 1981, in Marianna, Arkansas, to Jerry and Linda Smith. An only child, he grew up surrounded by loving family and friends. Marcus accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Atkins Boulevard Church of Christ under the leadership of Dr. L. C. Mitchell.
He attended Marianna schools until the tenth grade, then moved to Little Rock to live with his Uncle James and family. There he graduated from McClellan High School in 1999 before returning home to Marianna to continue building his life.
Marcus found love and became a devoted father to four children-Demarcus Flenoy, Jr., Demareuse Flenoy, Danario Flenoy, and Demaria Flenoy-and later, a proud grandfather to De'Loriel, DeMarcus IV, Rylee, Danario, Jr., and Ta'Miyah. Affectionately nicknamed "Brutus" by his Uncle James and Uncle Leotis, he wore the name throughout his life. From a young age, he discovered his passion as a barber and delighted in showcasing his talents on friends and family of all ages.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Faye Flenoy-Smith, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Marcus leaves to cherish his memory his father, Jerry Smith; his children-Demarcus Flenoy, Jr., Demareuse Flenoy, Denario Flenoy, and Demaria Flenoy and grandchildren-De'Loriel, DeMarcus III, Rylee, and Ta'Miyah; his longtime love, Shameca; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. A loving son, father, grandfather, and friend, Marcus will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
