Dena R. Edwards

Dena R. (nee Barr) Edwards, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 23,2023, at the age of 85. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, William E. Edwards Jr., and her siblings, Lois Barr, Judy Letukas and Ed Barr II. Dena is survived by her children, Lois (Ed) Bacza, Bill Edwards and Susan (Matt Montgomery) Edwards, her grandchildren, Sarah (John Paul) Von Arx, Andrew Bacza, Patrick Bacza and Mindy Montgomery, and her great granddaughter, Miriam Jane Von Arx. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to the late Edward and Helen Barr, Dena was a proud graduate of GAR High School Class of 1955, in Wilkes-Barre. She was a long time Girl Scout leader where she positively impacted the lives of many girls and developed lifelong friendships with her fellow leaders (and the stories they told would fill a book). She enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting, crocheting, making greeting cards and would try any new crafting project that came her way. She loved to travel and was up for any adventurous opportunity that arose. She had a passion for playing various card games which could become quite competitive. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and attended as many milestones, activities and sporting events as she was able. Mom, we love you and we will miss you deeply.
Family and friends are invited to Dena's Life Celebration on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Christ United Methodist Church, 501 Wistar Rd., Fairless Hills, PA 19030. There will be a viewing from 9 AM – 11 AM, Funeral Service at 11 AM, followed by a luncheon. Burial will take place on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at 10:15 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dena's name may be made to Christ UMC or Emergency Relief Association Food Pantry of Lower Bucks County.
