Dena Mae Simpson-Klingel, age 67, passed away October 4, 2025 at her home in Vanduser, MO surrounded by people that loved her.

She was born June 18, 1958 in Livermore, CA, daughter of the late Joe Simpson and Wilma Wallace-Simpson.

Dena was a Licensed Massage Therapist for 18 years, her clients were more than clients-they were considered extended family. All of her friends were considered lifelong friends. She loved teaching people and learning. She enjoyed digging for crystals, energy work, and dancing and music. She always enjoyed laughing, she had a beautiful spirit and a forgiving heart. She loved good food and spending time with her friends and loved ones.

Dena is survived by two daughters, Jodi (Wesley) Manning of East Prairie, MO and Kacey Klingel of Vanduser, MO; grandchildren, Stevey Klingel, Dani Boese, Jaxon Manning, Jazmyne Manning, and Katie Manning; soon to be great-grandchild, Tyree Joseph Brown; one brother, Danny Nuge Simpson of Vanduser, MO; Nieces and Nephews, Danna Simpson, Derek Simpson, and Dena Bollinger; her lifelong best friend, Myra Hargrove; her ex-husband and friend, Bobby Klingel; and many close friends, family and clients.

In addition to her parents, Dena was preceded in death by one brother, David Simpson.

There will be a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Family Life Center, 301 Woodward St., in Vanduser, MO. There will be a small service beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a potluck. Dena's last wishes were that her friends and family would gather with their favorite foods and celebrate her life. Her family asks that you bring your favorite dish to the potluck.
