Dena Sue Williams, age 70, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on November 27, 2025, at her daughter's home, following a courageous journey with dementia and the complications that accompany it. True to form, Dena met life's final chapter with grace, humor, and a heart full of love.

Born on December 15, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Dena was the daughter of Cortez Williams and Shirley Anderson. She grew into a woman known for her quick wit, strong faith, and deep devotion to family. In fact, She was proudly voted Wittiest in her senior class of 1972 at Clearwater High School, an honor she upheld faithfully for the rest of her life.

Dena was a devout member of First United Methodist Church, where her love for God and people shone brightly. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Katie Christopher; her cherished granddaughters, Levi and Emori Wilkins; her brothers, David Williams and Dale Williams; her nieces, Kimberly Williams and Imani Powell; and dear family friends Layla Mills and Helen Russell, whose 50-plus years of friendship were a constant source of laughter, loyalty, and love. She is also survived by her former husband, Thomas Christopher who helps keep her memory alive.

Dena was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Anderson and Cortez Williams, and her brother, Daniel Williams, whom she missed dearly.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Layla Mills and Helen Russell for a lifetime of friendship, as well as to Janice Blaire and Pastor Allee for their unwavering support, prayers, and visits through to the very end.

Dena will be remembered for her sharp sense of humor, her unwavering faith, and her fierce love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and devotion that will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Dena's life will be held on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, located a411 Turner St. Clearwater, FL 33756
