Mrs. Denise Loneit Cagle

Mrs. Denise Loneit Barnes-Cagle, 56, transitioned to her heavenly home at 6:30 pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital.
Denise was born in York, Pennsylvania on May 24, 1967 to Robert, Jr. and Ernestine (Johnson) Barnes. She was educated in the York, PA school system. Her family moved to Peoria, IL where she met and married Willie "Bitt" Cagle.
Denise worked as a 911 Dispatcher with the Peoria Police Department for 30 years. Denise was a strong woman and had a great work ethic. She did like to have fun and was often the life of the party. She was family oriented. It didn't matter how old her children got she always loved up on them. She especially adored the grandchildren. Denise enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play and drinking a Budweiser. Denise also enjoyed traveling and gambling. She was a great cook. The family looked forward to Denise cooking the holiday meals because she cooked the foods everyone loved. Denise was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.
Denise leaves to cherish her most precious memories her husband, Willie "Bitt" Cagle; her mother, Ernestine Barnes; two sons, Tyjuan Otto and Bryson Barnes; one daughter, Chardae Otto all of Peoria, IL; one brother, McGill Barnes of Des Moines, IA; one sister, Vanessa Johnson of York, PA; mother-in-law, Eloise Rayford of Peoria, IL; two grandchildren, Jajuan Otto and JaKyra Wright, seven stepchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Barnes Jr. and stepfather, John L. Nash.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Sovereign Grace M.B. Church, with a one-hour visitation prior beginning at 10:00 am. Pastor Alvin Riley, Sr. will officiate.
