Phyllis Denise Clark (known as Denise to her friends and family), Age 73, of Sunnyvale, Texas, was called home to the Lord on February 24, 2024.
Denise was born January 16, 1951 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Wayne and Nelda Jo McFaul. Denise grew up in Dallas and graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1969. Denise married Terry Clark on December 19, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. Denise and Terry enjoyed 53 years of marriage prior to her death. Those years blessed Denise with 2 sons and one grandson.
Denise was a kind and loving person who especially loved children as well as taking care of family and friends. When her children were growing up Denise always made sure that she was involved in all her children's activities. That devotion to her children led her to be the school PTA President for numerous years as well as Cub Scout den mother. Denise was a strong advocate for her children and made sure that they always had the resources they needed. She would also never miss an opportunity to help care for her numerous nieces and one nephew. To her nieces and nephew, she was affectionately known as Aunt Nesie. Later in life she would devote that same caring passion towards church activities wherever she could assist. Denise never missed an opportunity to give out a hug or bake a pie to share along the way. She loved cooking, sewing, reading the bible, and visiting Beavers Bend State Park as often as she could. Later in life Denise was blessed with the greatest gift when her grandson Carson came into her life. Carson knew her as MawMaw and also as his best friend. Her role as MawMaw was her favorite role of all.
Denise is survived by husband Terry Clark; children: Spencer Clark, Jason Clark and daughter-in-law Carrie Clark; grandson: Carson Clark; two sisters and their husbands: Wynelda and Tom Willard, and Tamy and Curt Hasbrouck; sister and brother-in-laws: Denise and Greg Carver, and Gail and Ray Roberts; numerous nieces, one nephew and countless friends.
Preceding Denise in death are parents Wayne and Nelda Jo McFaul.
