Denise Cook

Frances Denise Cook, age 63, of Gray, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at a local hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 14, 1962, in Macon, Georgia, Denise lived a life full of joy, color, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She had a gift for making every room brighter, every gathering livelier, and every heart a little lighter. Whether it was planning a beach vacation, decorating for the holidays, or simply bringing her family together for a Sunday meal, Denise did it all with flair, laughter, and deep affection.
She was a woman who danced through life - literally and figuratively - with a fiery spirit and a heart that always made space for others. Talkative, feisty, and fiercely loyal, Denise was a true people person who never met a stranger and always stood tall in defense of her loved ones. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, especially her beloved grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 34 years, Dudley Cook; her devoted mother, Bonnie Walker; her children, Brooks (Crystal) Walker, Sean (Megan) Davis, Melissa de la Bruyere, and Travis Cook; and her cherished grandchildren, Kylie de la Bruyere, Annelise (Drake) Bolus, Gavin de la Bruyere, Simmone (Landon) Cook, Miles Cook, Alexander Cook, Isabella Cook, Emersyn Davis, and Bailey Davis. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kingston Bolus, Harlow Bolus, and Bentlee Stewart; her sister, Rhonda Meeks; her brother, Daniel "Bubba" (Lesa) Jones; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Jones, and her sister, Sherry Miller.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Denise's life on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory, 4378 Gray Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032.
