Denise Latrelle Dover, age 69, of Ellerslie, Georgia, moved to her eternal home. (2 Corinthians 5:1-8).
A Celebration of Her Life Service will be held at River of Life Church in Hamilton on December 5, 2025, with a visitation with family at 10:00 am, and a service to follow at 11:00 AM.
Latrelle was a lover of God through His Son Jesus Christ, by the power of His Holy Spirit. She loved people and when she met someone, they were no longer a stranger. She was born in Columbus Georgia in 1956. She graduated from Tri-County Academy, attended Columbus College, and received a Bachelor of Christian Ministry at Chesapeake Bible College. Her career was spent in disciplines she truly enjoyed; medical, media and on church staff. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening, walking through the forest, going to parks, and seeing new places. She enjoyed traveling with her family throughout her husband’s military career.
She was a lover of family. She was married to Retired Master Seargent Michael Dover for over 35 years. She was thankful God let her bring into the world her two cherished children, Lauryl Estelle Andrae (husband Todd Andrae) and Jedidiah “Jed” Murray (predeceased). She was a happy Grandmother to Joseph and River. She also shared her life with many “spiritual” daughters and grands. She was the eldest sister to Zina Rogers (predeceased), Samantha Martin, and Robin Rogers. Her nephews are Timothy, Dana, and Kyle. She has 28 cousins that she grew up with, sharing birthdays, working on the grandparents’ farm, holidays, and reunions.
In lieu of flowers you may give to ministries she loved as well as a foundation she served during her medical journey. River of Life Church Hamilton GA, (Orphans Promise mission); Fields of Grace Shiloh GA (Women’s Trauma Ministry), Surrounded Foundation through Intentional Terrain in Columbus GA (supporting patients with holistic and integrative care not covered by insurance.)
