Cawley & Peoples Funeral Homes - LowellDenise Ann Lang, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026 surrounded by her family. Denise was born 61 years ago, in Beverly, Ohio, to James and Ruth Ann McCutcheon Drayer. She grew up in Waterford, Ohio where she was a graduate of Waterford High School and the Washington County Career Center.
Denise truly enjoyed being a wife, mother, and "Nana." She valued time with her family and friends, going on several camping adventures, family vacations, and trips with friends. She created valuable memories that will be shared for years to come.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Rick Lang; her sons, Jamie (Megan) Lang and Jared (Jayla) Lang; her cherished grandchildren; her sisters, Deb (Matt) Lowery and Dawn (Shawn) Johnson; her sisters-in-law, Tammie Farmer and Ann (Ivan) Clark; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Joyce Lang.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at the LOWELL CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A private memorial service will be held by the family to honor Denise's life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Denise's memory to the Strecker Cancer Center: Memorial Health Foundation - Cancer Patient Emergency Fund, P.O. Box 112, Marietta, OH 45750.
