Denise Marie Lewis entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the age of 56. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Loving mother of Joseph “Coodie” Lewis and the late Brian “B.J.” Lewis. Grandmother of Destiny DeSean Dews, Ja’Riyah Isaac, and Ja’Leah Lewis. Daughter of the late Albert E. Pierre and Leah P. Pierre. Sister of Lawrence (Celia) Cennett, Jr., Reyna Cennett, Lucien Lewis, Beatrice Peters, Delores (Junies) Robinson, Juanita (Elroy) Epps, Alberna (the late Joseph) Jones, Cynthia Lewis, and the late Ronald Cennett, Donald R. Cennett, Gloria Napoleon, and Sandra White. Aunt of the late LaTonya Robinson. Godmother of Louis Johnson, and LaKeisha Johnson. Denise is also survived by her godmother Delores Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expwy. Marrero, LA on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00a.m. Pastor D.R.
