Denise N. Malara

Passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 78.

Denise passed away three months after the love of her life, Frank, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Predeceased by her parents, Angelo & Florine Insalaco; father & mother-in-law, Francis & Margaret Malara.

She is survived by her children, Christa Knorr (Malara) & Marc (Julee Nesbitt) Malara; grandchildren, William, Justin (Heather), Ashley (Kevin), Jadyn (Isaiah), Rockie, Mikaela (Alex), 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Zinone (Ron Muratore); God-son, Ricky Zinone;  many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Denise was a loving grandmother and a devoted friend, known for her vibrant social life and warm spirit. Her career in customer service spanned several prominent establishments, including Wegmans, Sutherland, and the Democrat & Chronicle, where she made countless connections and cherished friendships.

Denise was particularly proud of working alongside her husband, Frank, whom she referred to as her best friend, and family in various restaurants and a limo company that she proudly named “Limo's by Denise.” These experiences were a testament to her commitment to family and community.

A woman of many passions, Denise found joy in a multitude of activities. She loved playing slots at the casino and had a knack for bowling, achieving an impressive 300 game. Her love for sports extended to playing softball, where she enjoyed camaraderie and competition.

In her leisure, Denise cherished time spent under the sun, enjoying beaches, especially those in Aruba, where she delighted in sunbathing and soaking in the tranquility of the ocean. Her love for camping showcased her adventurous spirit, always eager to create lasting memories with family and friends. In her later years, she embraced travel as another avenue for adventure, enriching her life with new experiences with her friends.

Denise's legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and the bonds she cultivated throughout her life. She touched many lives with her kindness and joy, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family will receive friends Thursday July 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, a service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM 

at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
