Denise S. Neubauer 57, died Sunday March 5, 2023, at her rural Burrton residence. She was born December 15, 1965, in Oakland, California to Dennis D. and Jeanne (Mitchell) Klein. On May 28, 1988, she married Philip M. Neubauer at Colorado Springs, Colorado. He survives of the home.
Denise was a member of Grace Crossing in Moundridge, Kansas. She worked as a dental hygienist at Tippin Dental Group in Newton. Denise had a love of cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed baking cakes and as made many wedding cakes for folks through the years. She was also the former owner of Cloud 9 wedding venue in Moundridge. Many people will remember Denise from her time working as a part time server at the Barn in Burrton. She took many of the servers under her wing and was a mother figure to them. She heard her calling to serve both her Lord and the community and was generous with her time. Her greatest joy was that of a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband Philip Neubauer of the home; son Dylan and his wife Melissa Neubauer; grandchildren Tess, Jackson and Brooke. She is also survived by her father Dennis Klein.
Denise is preceded in death by her mother Jeanne Klein and brother Lonnie Klein.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Grace Community Church with Pastor Jason Rains Officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday evening at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Burrton City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Tori's Angels Foundation (torisangels.org) in Denise' memory and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
