Denise Tolbert Perot

Funeral services for Denise Tolbert Perot will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023, at Outreach Baptist Church with Bro. Buster Duplissey officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Outreach Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00PM. Denise Tolbert Perot was born in Olla, LA, July 11, 1960, to the union of her parents, Raymond "Buddy" Tolbert and Evelyn Berry Tolbert and passed from this life November 16, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA, following a brief illness. Denise was a true diamond. She was very outgoing, loved going to the river, skiing, and tanning. She enjoyed shopping and was a magnificent cook. Denise liked entertaining her friends, listening to music, playing cards and dominos, and watching her roses grow. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steve Perot; her sister, Mary Mills; aunts, Laverne "Honey" Ingram, Laura Mae McGowen, Bobbie Gunn and Marty Bradford; uncle, Chico Berry; and nephew, Clifford Mills.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Amanda Chambers (Sammy), Amber Perot (Matt), Lethey Perot (Kevin); son, Nathan Perot (Amy);  a brother, Butch Tolbert; her sister, Dianne Pitre; grandchildren: Kylan Chambers, Kullen Chambers, Jaylen Chambers, Hannah Chambers (Teddy), Kyson Knight, Rayleigh Knight, Austin Barfoot, and Zachary Barfoot; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Ray Hartley.

Pallbearers include Nathan Perot. Shannon Tolbert, David Crain, Chad Callender, Austin Pierce, Austin Barfoot, Samuel Chambers, and Teddy Hartley. Honorary pallbearers are Kyson Knight, Rayleigh Knight, Hannah Chambers, Jaylen Chambers, Kylan Chambers, and Kullen Chambers.
