Obituary published on Legacy.com by John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. - West York on Oct. 1, 2025.
Denise "Dee" Robinson, 72, of Spring Grove, PA, formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous journey. Born on September 28, 1952, in Hanover, she was the beloved daughter of the late Denis and Doris Klunk.
Known for her vibrant spirit, sassy charm and classy style, Denise was affectionately nicknamed "Daisy" by her late son-in-law, Ty Folk - a name that stuck and came to embody her bright, cheerful presence and unmistakable strength. She lived life with passion, humor, and an unshakable devotion to her family. She had a spark that lit up every room, a stubborn strength that carried her through life's storms, and a heart that was both fierce and soft in the most beautiful ways.
Dee found great joy in the simple pleasures - a home filled with laughter, the smell of something simmering on the stove, a good glass of wine, and the comfort of a purring cat curled up beside her. She adored her precious family more than anything and wore her title of Mom and Mawma with pride. Her kitchen was her love language, and her hugs could make you believe everything would be okay.
She graduated from Delone Catholic in 1970.
Professionally, Dee worked as a legal secretary and later in retail sales, but she was best known in recent years for her warm smile and quick wit at TJ Maxx, where she worked for over a decade and touched the lives of so many in the community. She was loved by her co-workers who considered her their work grandma.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, John Robinson of Spring Grove. She was the proud mother of three children: Erin Folk and her fiancé Chad Holler of Thomasville; Lindsay Wilson and her husband Ryan of Hanover; and Derek Robinson of Hanover. Her legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Alex Folk and her fiancé Cody Swift of Dover, Tyler Folk and his wife Mackenzie Folk of Dillsburg, and Brenner and Garrett Wilson of Hanover - and through her three cherished great-grandchildren: Tyke, Nash, and Willow.
She was known in her earlier years as "Peb". She is survived by her sister Michele Shank and her husband Dan of Bonneville; brothers Scott and Whitey Klunk of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews who were lucky enough to know her love.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law that she adored, Ty Folk of York.
To know Dee was to be loved by her. She was the keeper of secrets, the teller of truths, the giver of second chances, and the fierce defender of her people. Her absence leaves a space that no one can fill - but her love, her sass, and her strength will echo on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her viewing on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4 to 6pm, followed by a celebration of her life at John W. Keffer Funeral Home 2114 West Market St
York, PA 17404. There will be a private gathering for family afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to raise a glass of wine, cuddle a cat, or tell someone the honest truth - just like Daisy would have.
Casual attire welcome - please dress comfortably but respectfully.
