Denise Walker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Whitsell Funeral Home - Morganfield on Jan. 27, 2026.
Denise Walker was born on September 15, 1957 and was called home to the Lord on January 23, 2026 after a life beautifully lived and deeply rooted in love, faith, and family.

Denise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome Walker; her only daughter, Amber Simpson; her cherished grandson, Avree Miller; her step-son, Jazz Walker; her sisters, Barbara Houston and Lynn Curry both of Morganfield; her brother-in-law, Jerry Houston; her beloved nieces, Clarissa Houston, Jalyn Houston, and Tiffany Smith; along with other extended family and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Joe Curry, whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Denise was a faithful and dedicated factory worker for many years. After graduating high school, she devoted her career to factory work, taking pride in her strong work ethic and commitment to providing for her family.

A woman of deep faith, Denise was a devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where she found strength, comfort, and community. Her faith guided her life and shaped the way she loved others-with kindness, humility, and grace.

Denise had a deep love for sewing, which was one of her greatest passions. She also enjoyed bowling, reading, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. Known always for her style, Denise carried herself with elegance and confidence. Her warm smile could light up any room, reflecting the beautiful soul that she was-inside and out.

She loved hosting gatherings and celebrations for her family, creating memories filled with laughter, joy, and togetherness. Denise's presence brought comfort, her laughter brought joy, and her love left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her. She will be truly and deeply missed, yet lovingly remembered for her faith, her generosity, her strength, and the love she gave so freely.

The service will be 12PM Friday, January 30, 2026 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waverly. Fr. Dave Johnson will officiate. The burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The visitation will be 10AM until service time on Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
