Mark Pauley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Whitsell Funeral Home - Morganfield on Feb. 2, 2026.
Mark Pauley, age 68 of Morganfield, KY passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Deaconess Hospital Union County. He was born July 2, 1957 to the late Leslie and Iretha Pauley. Mark was an electrician for U.S. Steel Mining and Pyro Mining Company. He had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of everyday life. A devoted hat collector, he never missed a chance to top off an outfit with just the right cap. He found peace walking along the beach, listening to the waves and watching the birds, and took pride in honest yard work that kept things neat and growing. Whether hunting at dawn, swimming on a warm day, or cruising with the top down and the wind in his face, he embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm and gratitude. Nothing brought him greater happiness than time spent with family-especially playing with his great-grandkids, whose laughter was his favorite sound. He was a loyal sports fan who could always be counted on to follow baseball and football, cheering faithfully through every season. Mark will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of nature, and the quiet joy he found in life's everyday moments. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will continue in all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Sherman and Steve Pauley; his sister, Dianne Allison
