Denney Cohen Lee

Denney Cohen Lee, age 81 of Alma passed away January 9, 2026 at his daughter's residence after an extended illness. He was born April 13, 1944 in Bacon County to Cohen Lee and Hazel Mattox Lee.

Mr. Lee was a graduate of Bacon County High Class of 1962 and served in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 69 where he previously served as Commander and was a member of Old Pine Grove Church. He was an adventurous entrepreneur that was always looking forward to the next chapter in life.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jeanne McDaniel Lee of Alma; three children, Dusty Robert Lee and Windy Tanner (Mitchell) of Alma and Hollie Kinlaw (Jeffery) of Savannah; brother, Tony A. Lee of Blackshear; sister, Lynette Moore (David) of Alma; 7 grandchildren Houston (Brittany) Brantley, Collin and Kalin Brantley of Alma; Skylar Doss (Garrett) and Jake Kinlaw of Savannah, Mae Lee Dyal and Lillie Raine Lee both of Alma and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cox, Rev. Pet Hayes officiating and Windy Tanner will give life reflection. Interment will follow at Old Pine Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Houston Brantley, Collin Brantley, Jake Kinlaw, Bobby Bagley, Jay Mattox and Matthew Brantley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Class of 1962, David & Pam Lee, Bill & Susan Hyers, Windell Mullis, Dr. Anderson and Coffee Regional Oncology Department and American Legion Post 69.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
