Moody Funeral Services Inc - Mount AiryMr. Dennis Dwain Angel, Jr., age 38 of Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his home. Mr. Angel was born on July 29, 1987 on Fort Bragg Army Base to Dennis Dwain Angel, Sr. and Shelly Bunting Sias. Dennis proudly served his county in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division as Paratrooper, where he served two tours of duty in Iraq. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Surviving is wife, Michea Cecil-Angel, his father and stepmother, Dennis Dwain Angel, Sr. and Robin; mother and stepfather, Shelly Sias and David; siblings, Sara Angel Beaver, Madeline Angel McFadden, Piper Angel, Wyatt Dwain Angel; step siblings; and step siblings, Heather Sias, Amanda Sias, Penny Sias, David Lee Potts; nieces, Aliza McFadden, Cora Murray; nephews, Finn Beaver, Maverick Murray; maternal grandmother, Joan Goins; maternal grandfather, William Warren Bunting; and her maternal great grandmother, Mary Largen. Mr. Angel was preceded in death by a nephew, Jensen Murray. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy at 2:00 PM with Reverend Butch Holder and Reverend Rickey Martin officiating. Full military rights will be conducted by VFW Honor Guard Post 2019 Mount Airy and Post 9436 Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at the Salisbury National Veteran’s Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina at a later date. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
