Dennis Neal Baker

Dennis Neal Baker, age 73 of Coventry Township, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born in Seville, Ohio on May 5, 1952 to the late Neal and Vera Jane {Schwab} Baker.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his older sister Linda Baker, who passed in infancy.

Denny is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara; children Nathan (Sarah) Baker and Amy (Donald) Lafever; grandchildren Donny, Drayden and Destin; extended family members and friends.

The only love that held a candle to Denny's love for his family was his love of baseball. He was a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan, and brought Barb with him to enjoy thousands of baseball games over the years.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, January 17th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., when the funeral service will begin with Pastor Jack Irvin officiating. A committal service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown, where Denny will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family to help defray funeral costs.
