Dennis Fidel Barela, born on March 4, 1973, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on October 8, 2024. He was a proud graduate of Cibola High School and spent his life surrounded by the natural beauty of the New Mexico mountains, where he cherished many moments camping and fishing.
Dennis was not only passionate about outdoor activities but also had a deep affection for classic cars, often spending time working on his beloved 57" Chevy truck. His interests extended beyond his hobbies; he found immense joy in spending time with his family, creating lasting memories that would be cherished by all.
Throughout his life, Dennis achieved several proud accomplishments, most notably his recognition as a golden glove boxer. This accolate showcased his dedication, discipline, and relentless spirit - qualities that permeated every aspect of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Barela, and father, Fidel Barela. His familial connection remained strong, as he was also the beloved brother of Jimmy Barela, an uncle to nieces Latina Baca, Jennie Q., and Arianna Barela, and a guiding figure to his godson, Jimmy Junior Barela. In addition, Dennis was surrounded by many aunts, uncles, great nieces, and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Dennis Fidel Barela's legacy will continue through the joy he brought to his loved ones and the passion he exhibited for life. He will deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
