Obituary for Dennis R. Berlin

Dennis R. Berlin, born on September 10, 1952, in Olympia, Washington, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Yelm, Washington. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose impact on those around him will be fondly remembered.

Dennis graduated from Olympia High School and displayed a strong work ethic throughout his life. He began his career as a truck driver for Tri City Meats, where he dedicated 45 years of service, advancing to the position of Meat Cutter. His commitment to his career was matched only by his dedication to his family and community.

In June 1972, Dennis proudly enlisted in the National Guard, serving until his discharge in August 1976. He wore this badge of honor with pride, demonstrating a strong sense of duty and commitment to his country.

On August 7, 1984, Dennis married the love of his life, Catherine DeVol, in Reno, Nevada. Together, they built a loving family, raising two sons, Christopher and Ryan, and a daughter, Lauren Murrell. He cherished his role as a father and was deeply proud of his three grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Dennis found solace and happiness in nature; he enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. These passions brought him closer to his family and friends, and he often shared these moments with loved ones, creating lasting memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife Catherine, his daughter Lauren, his brother Jerome Berlin, and many cherished family members. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Alice Berlin, and siblings Linda Berlin and Denise Lackey.

Dennis R. Berlin will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his commitment to his work, and his genuine spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and resilience that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to remember Dennis in their thoughts and prayers.
