Dennis Brewer

Dennis Brewer, a life long Painesville resident passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on September 7, 1946 to the late Vernon and Julia (Preckler) Brewer. Dennis was also a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and member of the Painesville Elks lodge 549. He retired in 2013 from Osborne Inc. of Mentor. He then went on to spend his remaining years working side by side with his son Dennis at the family owned business SCD Management Inc. and Grand River Equipment Inc. in Painesville. He also enjoyed many family vacations, spending time with his grandchildren, and golfing when time allowed. He managed to stay very active throughout his retirement years, and was always on the go. He will be incredibly missed by his family, as they were all very close.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (nee: Niswender) Brewer; sons, Dennis (Shalon Baker) Brewer, and Brian (Sarah) Brewer; grandchildren, Christopher (Makenzie) Brewer, Julius Brewer, Peyton Drewer, Jake Baker, and Aubrey Baker; great granddaughter, Indy Brewer; sister, Judy (Charlie) Moore; and brother-in-law, Vince Isabella.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin sister, Janiece Isabella.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 2-5pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:00am at Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church, 9514 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
