Dennis Hal Burnette

Dennis Hal Burnette, age 70 of Cashiers NC, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born on June 22, 1951, in Clayton GA, to the late James Wade and Estelle Houston Burnette.
He was a member of Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church in Scaly Mountain NC. Hal enjoyed working for 11 years at Highlands Falls Country Club. He wasn't one for sitting around. Hal never met a stranger. He liked to pick on you and tease you and always had a smile on his face. Hal loved his friends and family.
Hal is survived by his stepsons, Rick Alexander, Steve Alexander (Kathy), David Alexander; brother, James H Burnette; sister, Judy Rogers; grandchildren, Kayce Alexander, Brandon Alexander, Steven Alexander, Joseph Baty; four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Anthony Alexander; brother and sister-in-law, CT and Juanita Burnette.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday September 24, 2021, at Pine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 4338 Pine Creek Road, Cullowhee NC, 28723. (PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY). Johnny Norris and Steve Alexander, officiating.
