James Fred Cabe

James Fred Cabe, went home to be with the Lord on October 29th 2025. He was 90 years old. 

James is survived by, Daughter, Sharon Denise Gunter, (Bobby), 5 Grandchildren, Aaron Buchanan, (Kristen), Michelle Wood, (Mel), Daniel Wheatley, (Amber), Rebekah Robertson, (Steven), Andrew Wheatley, (Shelby). 10 Great Grandchildren, Bethany, Cayden, Tucker, Eydin, Deklan, Liam, James, Jenna, Cali, & Zoey. 3 Sisters, Shirley Green, Betty Worley, & Marie Taylor. Also Extended Family, Hubert Bryson, (Peggy), Amy, (Josh), & Carl, and Randy Bryson. 

James was preceded in death by, his Father, Alvin Cabe, Mother, Beula Cabe, Wife, Hilda Cabe, Daughter, Shelby Buchanan, (Ricky), & Brother Roy Cabe. 

James was born in Sylva, NC on November 15th, 1934. He sold many tires over the years as well as helped with Bryson Auto Sales. He enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends, Flea markets, but most of all he loved sharing his Love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with everyone he met. He was so Proud and Loved his Church Family of Sunrise House of Worship. 

The Family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home in Sylva, NC on Monday November, 3rd, 2025, from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday November 4th, 2025 at 2:00pm at Sunrise House of Worship. Burial will follow at Stillwell Cemetery.
