Dennis Ray Carter, 89, of Bowling Green, KY passed away on September 17, 2024. He was the son of the late Harry Dennis Carter and Eva Sue McMurtry Carter of White House, TN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Dorthy Ruth Carter, 3 children, David Louis Mimms (Yuan) of Adairville, KY; Traci Ann Carter of Bowling Green, KY; Harry Jason Carter (Mitzi) of Bowling Green, KY. 8 grandchildren: Troy Mimms, Ryan Mimms, Rachel Stewart, Yaocong Huang (Charlie), Connor Gravette, Emily Gravette, Nathaniel Carter and Jaden Carter; and two great great grandchildren Henry Mimms and Grant Mimms.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Taylor Carter and Aunt Alice Hambrick. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10 am-12pm with a short service following. There will be a private burial immediately following for the immediate family only at Fairview Cemetery.
