Dennis Walter "Dub" Cobb

Cobb- Dennis "Dub" Walter Cobb went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida and spent most of his early years in Callahan, Florida. After graduating from Callahan High School in 1963, Dub moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he met the love of his life, Jennifer Hessong. They later married and made their home in Callahan, where they raised four children and were married for 60 years. Dub retired in 2017 after working for Brake Funderburk Enterprises for 53 years. He faithfully attended Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Callahan. Dub enjoyed racing cars and being President of the CB club (Egghead) in his early years, camping, outdoor activities, cornhole, Florida Gators football but most of all he enjoyed family gatherings and time spent with those he loved. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, and 2 sisters.

Dub is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jennifer Lee Cobb; children, Joe (Freda) Cobb, Diana (Eddie) Wooley, Patricia Cobb McRae, Michael (Dana) Cobb; grandchildren, Jeff (Jessica) Wooley, Brandon (Morgan) Wooley, Logan (Lexi) Wooley, Davey (Jameson) McRae, Tyler (Kayleigh) McRae, Abigail McRae, Reauna (Ben) Lewin, and Alaya Cobb; great-grandchildren, Noah, Jordan, Braylen, Jorgia, Jade, Jhett, Layla, Lucas Wooley, and Baylor Lewin due in November; brother, Ralph Cobb; and many nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Wooley, Brandon Wooley, Logan Wooley, Tyler McRae, John Michael Hessong, David McRae, Jr. and Jameson Walters.

A Celebration of Dub's Life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Thornton and Pastor Randy Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
