He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael S. Cockerham. A Celebration of Dennis's Life and Faith will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2011 in the Pate Chapel of Thomas Road Baptist Church with the Rev. David Heerspink officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, VA. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 PM Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory-Wiggington Road Chapel, 434-385-8900, is serving the family.

I worked with Dennis in Myrtle Beach. He was one of the good people, always pleasant to be around. It is too bad that he is gone so soon. The world would be better off if there were more like him. My condolences to Gayle and Amy and all of his family.
