Live action report… Russell Steven Cockerham, 74, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 8, 2026. He was born August 10, 1951, in Pontiac, Michigan to Homer Cockerham and Lois (Winemiller) Cockerham. Russell married his soul-mate, Donna Heidelberg, on October 23, 1991, in Howell, Michigan. He will be remembered as a very social, fun-loving family man who had the biggest stories along with the biggest and best hugs. Known for being a one-of-a-kind nationwide legend, he had friends wherever he went and touched people's lives in a unique way. Russell was owner and operator of RSC Trucking Inc. and a proud member of the Scorpion Nation for 27 years. A lifetime member with over 50 years of active club memberships, he was the vice chairman of the MCOC (Michigan Confederation of Clubs) and the NCOM (National Coalition of Motorcyclists). Russell was the winner of the Cockerham competition, he truly was "living the dream" every day of his life.

His Family… Russell will be dearly missed by his wife Donna Cockerham; his children, Rusty (Angela) Cockerham, Garett Cockerham, Heather (Robert) Barkley, Gregory (Crystal) Cockerham; brother, John Cockerham; grandchildren, Adam (Rebecca), Whitney, Taylor, Gregory, Morgan, Holly; great grandchildren, Charles, Bria, and "baby on the way"; lots of club brothers; many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and numerous friends that hung out at the house and looked up to him as a father figure. Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Lois Cockerham; daughter, Tracy Cockerham; siblings, Robert Cockerham, James Cockerham, and Nancy Walker.

His Farewell… Russell's family and friends will gather Friday, January 16, 2026, 1:00-8:00pm, at 2|42 Church in Brighton, Michigan. Family and friends will continue to gather on Saturday, January 17, 2026 gather at 10:00 AM until his Celebration of Life Service at 12 noon at 2|42 Church in Brighton.
