Dennis Wayne Cope, age 72, of Edgewood, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. Born on June 10, 1952, in Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of Thomas and Margaret Cope (née Mobley).
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas and Margaret Cope and his first wife and mother of his children, Deborah Cope.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberley Cope (née Begley); his sons, Brian (Becki) Cope and Justin (Arron) Cope; and his cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, Bridget, Jordan (Tyler), Mason, and Rosalyn Cope. He is also survived by his brother, Darryl Cope; sisters, Carol (Joe) Cope and Mary "Sissy" (Carl) Zarkos; brother-in-law, Bill Begley; as well as step-daughter, Angel Gibson, step-son, Chris Gibson, niece and nephews, Nick Cope, Hannah Cope and Chris Robinson. He will also be missed by his adored canine companions, Buddy, Bruce, and LJ.
Dennis was a simple man who embraced life with a passion. He reveled in time spent outdoors and enjoyed tinkering with engines, showcasing his skills as a handyman. In his younger years he had a love for motorcycle riding and was dedicated to serving his community as a volunteer firefighter and police officer. A sweet tooth often led Dennis to indulge in desserts, sharing this joy with those around him. Above all, Dennis was a proud father and grandfather.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. A funeral ceremony will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at Independence Cemetery.
