Dennis Ray Corrick
January 8th, 1949 - January 3rd, 2025
Dennis Ray Corrick was born on January 8th, 1949, at Albany General Hospital to Margaret (Weis)
and Oliver (Red) Corrick. He grew up in the Dever-Conner area and attended schools in Dever-
Conner, Jefferson, Albany and Salem. Graduating from Albany Union High School in 1967.
After graduating Dennis attended Prairie Bible College in Alberta, Canada. On January 27,1973, Dennis married the love of his wife Nancy (Cooley). Together they raised Sherri born on July 13, 1973, and Denny born on June 6, 1976. Dennis started working at Wah Chang in 1973 and worked there until his retirement. He was involved in The Special Olympics of Benton County and The Special Olympics of Oregon where you could see him coaching Sherri or Denny, or even just being a
Spectator, he was always cheering the loudest.
He enjoyed fishing, photography, and was involved in many bowling leagues throughout his adult life, even bowling a 300. Dennis and Nancy enjoyed taking road trips and just spending time together in his retirement. They were members of Suburban Christian Church and Dennis was a lifelong Oregon State Beaver Fan.
Dennis is survived by his Wife Nancy, Children Sherri and Denny. Brothers Tom (Sally), Gary
(Martha), Paul (Renee) and Sister Loylene (Steven) Ruppert. Brother-in-law Bill Sass and Sister-in-
Law Freida Hosick. Many Nieces and Nephews, and Great Nieces and Nephews and one Great-Great Nephew. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Margaret and Oliver Corrick.
A Remembrance is planned for a later date.
ln lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Special Olympics or a charity of your choice in honor of Dennis' commitment to helping the community.
