Dennis Lynn Dees, age 64, of Temple passed away on August 28, 2024, at a Temple hospital. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church in Temple.
Dennis was born on October 6, 1959 to Growing up in Temple, Dennis was a proud graduate of Temple High School, class of 1978. His passion for mechanics led him to attend technical school in Waco, where he honed his skills and began a fulfilling career. Over the years, Dennis worked for various car dealerships in the area, eventually finding a home at Troy's Auto Care in Temple, where he dedicated many years until his well-deserved retirement.
Dennis's love for automobiles extended beyond his professional life. He delighted in collecting diecast cars and was an enthusiastic fan of NASCAR, particularly adoring the legendary Dale Earnhardt Sr. His hobby of attending car shows was one of the many ways he connected with others who shared his passion. Yet, it was his family that brought him the greatest joy.
Dennis was immensely proud of his two sons, Matthew Dees and his wife, Nicole Dees of Troy and Michael Dees of Temple. He cherished every moment spent in their company, relishing the times they gathered to share stories and laughter. Above all else, Dennis found unparalleled joy in spoiling his beloved grandchildren, Robert (Robbie), Carter, Araiah, and Willow. His face would light up with pride as he watched them grow, celebrating each milestone with exuberance and love.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Heather Dees, and his sister, Ethelene Dees, whom he carried in his heart forever.
As we remember Dennis Lynn Dees, let us celebrate the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the countless memories he created with his family and friends. His legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren, forever a reminder of a life beautifully lived and deeply cherished.
