Dennis Doherty Obituary
He was born on October 7, 1951 to the late Willard Delbert and Irene Mae Doherty, in the town of Tonawanda, NY. Dennis grew up there with his twin brother Dan, his brothers Mike and Tim and his sister Patti. Upon graduating high school in 1970 Dennis enlisted in the United States Air Force.
Dennis married the love of his life, Jody on October 3, 1975. They had three children, sons, Robert D. and Dennis T. and daughter, Frances M.
Dennis was a proud "Papa" to five grandchildren, Jorden, Toby, Parker, Olivia, and Skylar.
Dennis was an avid fan of football, he loved the Buffalo Bills and was a big fan of professional wrestling.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, his wife, Jody, and his son, Robert. Dennis is survived by his son Dennis (Meredith) Doherty, of Mauston, WI and daughter Frances Doherty of Jackson, MI. His siblings Mike (Deb) Doherty, of Houston, TX, Dan (Lucinda) Doherty, of Englewood, Fl, Tim Doherty, Cheektowaga, NY and Patti (Scott) Bokman, of Olean, NY and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 22nd, to remember both Dennis and his wife Jody, at Rivertree Community Church 3113 Lansing Ave Jackson, MI, time TBD.
