Dennis Edward Dube', age 79 of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts to the late Dennis Edward Dube', Sr and Mary Theresa Devlin Dube'. Dennis worked as a system technician for AT&T. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. Dennis enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts, and loved camping, fishing and golfing. He was passionate about spaying, neutering and adopting dogs. He loved a good cigar, his Jameson whiskey, country music and old westerns. He was very proud to have served in the Navy, and he loved his country very much. Although he was born in Massachusetts and raised his family in south Florida, he felt a deep connection to the Smoky Mountains, and was driven to spend his last years here. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Dube'.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Diane Nougaret Dube'; one son, Steven Dube' (Jennifer Schueler) of London, England and their two sons, Henry and Oliver; one daughter, Denise Carrillo (Arnold) of Miami, Florida and their four sons, Sean Berg, Daniel, Ethan and Jacob Carillo; one brother, James Dube' of New Jersey; and two sisters, Diane Kleiner (Jerry) and Marie Snyder-Dube' (Phil) all of New Jersey.
A funeral service will be held at 9 am, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hayesville. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #96, Murphy, American Legion Post 532 Hayesville, VFW Post 6812, Hayesville and the Marine Corp League, Marble. Burial will be at 2 pm, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
