Dennis William Fliss, 74, of Junction City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 at Dimensions Assisted Living in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Dennis was born February 23, 1951, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to the late Elmer and Jane (Catlin) Flisakowski. He graduated from PJ Jacobs High School and he opened Fliss Feeds, worked as a welder at Tenneco, and later a truck driver at Marks Transportation Inc. before retirement. After he retired, Dennis was known for opening the Bunny Hop every morning and having the coffee ready for the early morning patrons. Dennis was a hard worker that enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, telling stories and having a good laugh.
He is survived by his son, Keith Fliss; his siblings Sue Ann Hansen, Val Moser, Michele Wong, Cindy (Ron) Roth, Jeffrey (Barb) Flisakowski, Gayle (Barry) Richardson, Mike (Jenny) Flisakowski, Laura (David) Serafin, and Shawn Flisakowski. In addition, he is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Hannah Fliss, Haylee Fliss and Jaxon Fliss.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Fliss; and his parents, Elmer and Jane Flisakowski.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 28th at 12:30pm at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, with Father Packi officiating. Interment will be at St. Michael's Parish Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at St. Michael's Hall. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 until time of service.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation for the care and compassion by Heartland Hospice, especially to Dana Polencheck. Also, a sincere thank you to Cindy Roth and Laura Serafin for all their help and assistance.
