Dennis Lorenzo Franklin of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, died October 1, 2025, was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia on December 29, 1953. He was born to Whitney and Elaine (Craney) Franklin. He was raised in Glasgow, Virginia and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at a young age. He was married to Judith "Judi" (Smith) for 40 years and they had 3 children Deven Franklin (Anitra), Jerod Franklin (Keshauna), Nicolle Cooley (Tim). He was the proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren.

Mr. Franklin was a good neighbor. I oftened referred to him as the 'Mayor'. His conversations were always up beat and positive. He had a contagious and welcoming smile.
