Dennis W. Fyock

FYOCK, Dennis W. – of Clio, age 80, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Dennis' Life will be held at a later date.

Dennis was born on September 4, 1945, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Alvin and Bertha (Knipple) Fyock. He graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1963, went on to earn his associate degree from Flint Junior College, and later obtained certification as a Master Mechanic. On December 4, 1965, Dennis married Maureen Shay at Oak Park Methodist Church in Flint. Together, they shared 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories. Dennis built a long and respected career in the automotive industry, working for over 30 years with various dealerships as a parts and service director and consultant. He was well known and highly regarded within the automotive community. Dennis later embraced a new chapter, owning and operating River Park Campground in Grayling for 22 years. During that time, he made it a place where family and friends could gather, relax, and enjoy time together. The campground became a well-loved destination, especially known for its annual pig roast that brought people together year after year. A proud member of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and the Chevrolet Only the Best Club, Dennis had a true passion for cars. He enjoyed building hot rods, drag racing, and attending car shows. He took great pride in his garage, where he spent countless hours tinkering, woodworking, and working on his latest projects. Dennis also enjoyed golfing, reading, and traveling the world with Maureen by his side.

He is survived by his Wife, Maureen Fyock; Son, Terry (Jess) Fyock; Daughter, Susie (Mike) Mills; Grandchildren: Denise (Karl) Roeske, Brad (Becca) Fyock, Kelsea (Aaron) Hetzer, Kara (Kaleb) Thompson, and Jacob Fyock; Great-grandchildren: Beau & Booth Hetzer, Parker Roeske, Mandi & Shay Fyock, and Indy Thompson; Brothers: Bruce Fyock and Gary (Vicki) Fyock. Dennis was also preceded in death by: Granddaughter, Amanda Sue Fyock; Grandson, Aaron Fyock; Brother, Terry Fyock; Sister, Sharon Fyock.
