Dennis Gerdts Obituary
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 23, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (2781 SW 92nd Ave Meriden, MN). Friends may greet the family two hours prior to the memorial service at the church starting at 9:00 AM.
Dennis was born to parents Gary and Doris (Corson) Gerdts in Owatonna.
He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1978. Dennis attended Rochester Community College for Tool and Die. Throughout his career, he worked at Cashman's Seed and Fertilizer and several tool and die companies. The last place he worked was Itron until September 2024 when they closed the department.
Dennis is survived by parents, Gary and Doris; siblings: twin sister Denise Banta (Jeff), Ron Gerdts (Lisa), Rich (Sue) Gerdts, Lori (Jeremy) Cumberland; nieces, Allie (James) Banta, Lindsay (Issac) Muller, Joanna Gerdts, Holly Gerdts, and Kylie Cumberland; nephews, Andrew Banta (Mollie), Corey (Sarah) Gerdts, Joshua (Christina) Gerdts, Jason Gerdts, Reed Cumberland (Rose), and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by nephew Anthony Banta.
