Dennis Glass Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory on Mar. 28, 2026.
Dennis Lamar Glass, 70, husband of Bonnie Sue Glass, of Beaufort, SC, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in MUSC in Charleston.

Services will be at a later date.

Dennis was born on November 1, 1955 in Beaufort, SC. He is the son of the late James Lamar Glass and Betty Corbin Baker.

Dennis "Rainman" Glass

My wonderful hubby's work on earth for the Lord and his family was over on 03-25-26.

Dennis and Bonnie were married in March 1988.

Dennis was born and raised in Beaufort, SC. He started his construction career at 19 years of age. Following this career path to becoming an interior trim carpenter and ultimately started D. L. Glass Carpentry in 1997. All the fireplace mantels he'd sign on the back. Believed in always doing his best work because homeowners would be looking at it for a long time. All along providing for his family.

Loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great grand and family. Enjoyed playing drums and guitar for church praise and worship. Loved Beaufort his hometown and would share this with any visiting tourist.

1999 started again riding a motorcycle. 2000 became acquainted with Christian Motorcycle Association after attending a Myrtle Beach bike week. It resulted in forming a local chapter Roman Road Riders of which he was the first Chapter President. He loved the motorcycle community and cheerished every person he met. Road on as many rides as possible. He couldn't wait for the next one.

The first week a biker went down and air lifted to MUSC. He was on the way there. Able to pray with the family in waiting area. He genuinely cared whether he knew you or not.

Riding for Jesus became a passion. We started camping at Myrtle Beach for bike weeks. Ventured to Daytona Beach bike week a couple times, but preferred local area rides to create friendships to last until his going home.

Earned his road name of Rainman. If he led a ride it seemed like we got rain before it finished. We rode to Ohio and were officially rained on in each state.

We all will miss him, and the mission remains the same. One heart at a time. Carry the Word into the highway and byways. Praying and sharing wherever possible until God calls us home. Love you forever.

Matt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." CMA moto Changing the world one heart at a time.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Bonnie; are two sons, John Peters (Mary) and Russell Glass; one daughter, Krystal Reid; three brothers, William Neal Glass, James Scott Glass (Karen) and Marti J. Glass; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Beaufort Church of God, Jasper Beaufort ABATE Downed Riders Fund and/or cmausa.org Run for the Son.

Bonnie, Steve and I share your sorrow for the loss of Dennis. He held such a special place in my heart as he stood the Honor Guard for my stepdad who was buried at the Beaufort National Cemetery in 2018. We really enjoyed your visits to the upcountry and pray for your comfort and peace moving forward. We cherish his memory and pray for you at this time. You are loved. Lana
