Dennis Wayne Gramman

Dennis "Denny" Wayne Gramman, 77, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

He was born on August 14, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Robert and Ann (Cutter) Gramman.

Dennis graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1967 and served as a Sergeant for 4 years during the Vietnam War. Denny worked on aircraft hydrolics and as a window gunner.

On December 22, 1973, he married Marie Cox in Lafayette.

Denny worked for Defouw Chevrolet for 29 1/2 years as a Collision Repair Technician. He had previously worked 17 years for Lafayette Truck Center.

He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Denny was a member of American Legion Post 492 and Navy Club Ship 12 where he served as Commander for 7 years.

He enjoyed kayaking, skydiving, camping, fishing, golfing, mushroom hunting, semi repair, and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Gramman of Lafayette; his daughter, Melissa Gramman of Texas; his siblings, Gary Gramman of Indianapolis and Marsha (Bryan) Schafer of Lafayette; his grandson, Tony (Anna) Gramman of Lafayette; and his great grandchildren, T.J. and Calleigh.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Gramman, Carol Gunion, and Mike Gramman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to Mass at 11 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church in loving memory of Denny.
