Dennis J. Gries, age 81 of Spring House, PA, passed away on November 1, 2025.
Born on April 7, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, Dennis was the son of the late Hans B. and Francis P. (Neubart) Gries. He completed his BS from Temple and later a Masters from Drexel. He spent his entire career in accounting as a CPA. Dennis was very involved in volunteering once he retired, from helping Meals on Wheels to providing AARP tax services. During retirement he developed a strong passion for genealogy, both for his family’s lineage as well as helping others around the world uncover their own.
He married Judy (Haffner) on May 31,1975 in East Norriton Twp and they enjoyed about 40 active fun years of marriage before Judy passed in 2021. They lived in Fort Washington until a 2004 move to Sarasota Florida, with a recent move back in 2020 to Pennsylvania with residency at ACTs Spring House Estates.
Dennis is survived by a son, Andrew Gries; and a daughter, Amy Goldstein (Ryan), one grandchild; Sara Goldstein, and his beloved cat, Rolo (who will continue to be spoiled by his children).
