Hamilton, Dennis

Age 86, passed away on 8/8/25 at Hospice of Cincinnati with his family by his side. Dennis was born on 10/31/1938 in Daley, KY. He was the eldest of 7 children born to Dan & Oma (DeHart) Hamilton. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1957 and afterwards enlisted in the US Army. On 2/3/1962 he married Marion(Schrimper) in Bethany. To this union 2 children were born, Dennis Hamilton Jr. and Lisa Hamilton (Marc Hermes). Dennis retired from the US Post Office after 30 years of service. After that he helped his son at Hamilton's Body Shop. He was a fan of Nascar and he enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He also loved working on cars and going to car shows where he won many trophies with his 1956 Dodge Royal.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his children, three sisters, Reva (Mike) Cook, Debbie Philips and Linda Hamilton, numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Kenneth & Raymond, sister Thelma and nephew Danny Barnett. Dennis was a loving son, husband, father and brother and will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15 from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 10:30am at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp. Burial will follow the service at Butler Co. Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597, Cincinnati OH, 45263.
