Dennis is survived by his wife Patty Hawley and his two children, Chris S. Hawley and his wife Aleana (Roann, IN), and Melissa S. Jones and her husband Josh (Peru, IN). Also, grandchildren Liam (11) and January (9). Also surviving are his mother, Martha Jo Hawley of Peru, IN, his brother Gary L. Hawley (wife Brenda) of Tyler, TX, and his sister Janet Bailey Parker (husband Kyle) of Naples, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Hawley.
Dennis was an avid outdoors man and loved hunting and fishing. The stories of his hunting and fishing adventures will live on and be shared for years with fond memories and many laughs. He was a great cook, and no one could cook fish like he did. He enjoyed cookouts with friends and family. He loved playing cards and games and spending time with his family, creating many fond memories for his loved ones to cherish. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his friends and family. He lived life to the fullest, was much loved, and will be greatly missed.
Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Chapel Ministries Outreach, 3054 W 400 N, Peru, Indiana. Pastor Vince Darland and Pastor Terry Anderson will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Martino Kid's Fishing Clinic in Kokomo, Indiana in his memory are appreciated.
