Dennis "Grumps" Hicks

Dennis "Grumps" Hicks of Saucier, Mississippi passed away at his home on February 18, 2026.

Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a CM3. Following his military service, he pursued his passion for working with his hands and graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College in 1992. He dedicated over 30 years of his life to his career as an automotive technician, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike for his skill, work ethic, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

He found great joy in the outdoors and in the garage. Dennis loved hunting and fishing, restoring cars, and spending time riding ATVs and enjoying off-road sports. Whether in the woods, on the water, or under the hood of a vehicle, he was happiest doing what he loved and sharing those moments with family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, George J. Hicks Jr.; his mother, Evelyn Hicks Campbell; and his sister, Linda Snyder.

He is survived by his children, Ashlee Hicks, Kortland Hicks, and Joseph Hicks. His grandchildren; Bentley Beech, Raelynn Meade, Willow Hicks, and Oaklynn Hicks. Along with his sister; Debora Womble.
