Dennis Hlavacek Obituary
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Kathy; his sons, Matt (Stephanie) and Brian (Jackie), his cherished grandchildren, Sophie and Theo; and his brother James (Ursula). Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, James and Violet and his sister, Diane.
Dennis had a lifelong passion for aviation. He was an accomplished private pilot and a professional aircraft mechanic for over 30 years at United Airlines, before his retirement some years ago. Dennis also built and flew his own aircraft, a Sonerai ll.
Dennis cherished nothing more than spending time with his family, while sharing his love for music, cars and dogs. He relished his role as silly grandpa and brought unwavering support to his wife, Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Dennis' honor at Pilot Pete's in Schaumburg, IL from 1-4 P.M. on Saturday July 12.
Dennis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
