Dennis Richard Howell

Dennis Richard Howell, age 74, of Dickson, TN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on February 8, 2023 in Dickson, TN.
Dennis was born March 20, 1948 in Nashville, TN, to the late Frank Oliver and Vera (Gentry) Howell.
Dennis was a strong, generous man, who was a servant of others, and loved the Lord. He loved his girls and his grandbabies. He was an outdoorsman who was an avid fisherman and bird hunter. He worked as a Senior Superintendent with Bell Construction Company for 44 years, doing lots of construction on and around the UT campus. After retiring from the construction business, he attended Nashville School of Preaching and was the minister of Lee's Chapel Church of Christ in Southside, TN.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Petty Howell (Patti); daughters, Kelly Batts of McEwen, TN, Lori (Tony) Kruer of Springhill, TN, and Emily (Marty) Moore of Burns, TN; grandchildren, Lindsey Batts (Blake) Snider; Leo, Grace and Isaac Kruer, and Miles and Audrey Moore; brother, Joe (Janelle) Howell of White Bluff, TN; sister, Bettye Scoggins of Clarksville, TN; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Mark) Norman of Nashville, TN, Sandy (David) Mills of Clarksville, TN, Frank Harris, Jared (Brianna) Howell of Pegram, TN, and Joel (Keri) Howell of White Bluff, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Dickson Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and will resume on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
