Dennis Johnson Obituary
Dennis O. Johnson, age 82 of rural Dent, MN, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at his home.
He was born on November 25, 1942 in Grass Valley, CA to Helmer and Joyce (Tehven) Johnson. Dennis grew up in Fargo, ND and spent his summers on a farm in Ada, MN. He attended college at North Dakota State University.
Dennis raised his family in the Twin Cities while working as a computer programmer for the Control Data Corporation. He and his wife, Jean, moved to their cabin on East Silent Lake in 1990. Later in the 90's, Dennis helped Jean establish Jean's, The Right Plant Place in Perham.
Dennis is survived by his sons, Paul Johnson (Jaime Amador) and Douglas (Beth) McGinley; grandsons, Nicholas and David McGinley. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jean Johnson.
Per Dennis's wishes, no formal services will be held.
At the family's request, please raise a cheap beer or a cup of terrible coffee in honor of Dennis.
