Dennis Dolan Johnson passed away into the arms of Christ on December 13th, 2025, while holding his cherished wife Karen's hand and his Rosary. Dennis was born in Evanston, IL, in 1939. He was one of 6 children and the son of Earl and Dolores Johnson.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Karen; sons Richard, Michael (Lynn Renee), Stephen (Lynn Marie), Todd (Jennifer); loving grandfather of Bryan (Amy), Mollie (Alex), Sophie (Miles), Grace, Isabelle and Analeise; great grandfather of Luke, Paige, and Emma. And one sister, Dianne Fellinger.

Dennis enjoyed a remarkable and fulfilling career in the telecommunications sector. His guidance and quiet strength helped shape the lives of so many people. He especially treasured the opportunities he had to volunteer in various capacities within the different Church parishes they belonged to as their residency would change. He led by example through his values, his integrity and his kindness.

Traveling was a big part of his life and together he and Karen explored most of Europe including living in Belgium for a 3 year assignment as the COO for Belgacom, the second largest company in Belgium. Following this assignment, he retired to Downtown Chicago, and eventually, Phoenix, AZ.

And not to be forgotten, Dennis was a loyal follower of his Detroit sports teams, following them through wins and losses. Growing up, he spent his summers working at the family resort business in northern Michigan. Lions, Tigers, etc., every new season gave him hope for a possible victory year.

Above all, Dennis lived a life dedicated to his Catholic faith, marked by an unwavering love for his family and a positive attitude that touched everyone he encountered, He was a devoted husband and father and his grandchildren were a constant highlight in his life, referring to him as Papa which always put a smile on his face. Dennis, Dad, Papa, you are a gift to each of us, and the fruit of your life will live on.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 30th at 10:00 AM at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, AZ, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Franciscan Renewal Center or Pristine Hospice in honor of Dennis.
