Loving partner of Jeanette Griep for 29 years. Cherished brother of Diane (Paul) Gutbrod), Christine Klim and Karen (Chris) Anderson. Dear uncle to Angela (Ryan) Buth, Erika (Wayne) Mundy, Shane (Juanita) Gutbrod, Sarah (Kellen) Kroening, David (Ashley) Anderson and Michael (Brooke) Anderson. Great-uncle to Logan, Gavin, Raegan, Nolan and Freya. Also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by beloved parents Joseph and Syvia Klim and another cherished sister Louise (Michael) Mears.
Dennis was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Boys' Tech High School in 1970 where he excelled in drafting. After a year at UWM, he decided college life was not for him. Rather than pursue a career as a draftsman, he did some freelance silver-smithing and began working at Bilt-Better Building, assembling and installing awnings. After the company closed, he moved on to WASCO where he fabricated replacement windows. He worked at WASCO until he retired.
Dennis was a very capable do-it-yourselfer. He did many of his own auto repairs, some minor plumbing and carpentry, installed new siding on his house, and fixed his motorcycles, lawn mowers and snowblowers. He installed replacement windows, patio doors or entry doors for almost every family member. He enjoyed planting and maintaining his backyard vegetable garden and would often share the bounty. He took special delight in sheepshead sessions with cousins. Dennis could be counted on to help with whatever needed to be fixed or moved. He happily joined various family gatherings but was just as happy to be at home working on projects or relaxing with Jeanette and their cats. Dennis was kind and easygoing. No matter what the universe presented to him, he remained calm and took everything in stride.
Dennis's gentle presence will be greatly missed.

Jeanette, I am so sorry to hear about Janice. He was a kind and helpful man very soft spoken and very gentle. always willing to help if I needed something RIP
