Dennis P. Lesher

Dennis P Lesher, 66, of Halifax Pennsylvania passed away on February 14th at Hershey Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Harrisburg on November 9, 1959, the son of Harold and Catherine Lesher.

Dennis grew up in Fisherville working for a family business, Lesher's Milk Transport, starting at the age of 16. This started his 50 year career as a truck driver that led him to transporting milk, delivery feed and delivery eggs across the country. He ultimately ended his career transporting for Hearth & Home Technologies.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, going to concerts and hanging out with friends and family.

Over the years, Dennis spent time making his family laugh with all his sarcasm and shenanigans. He had a love for animals and had many beloved pets throughout his life. Bella, his last dog, was cherished and went everywhere with him. Later in life, he found great joy driving his slingshot anywhere he could and taking Bella along. He joined a Polaris slingshot group where he found friends that loved the ride as much as he did.

Dennis was survived by his son Jeremy Lesher (Angela), daughter Justine Cooper (Ricky) and son Dustin Shomper and 2 grandchildren Sarah and Justin. He was preceded in death by a baby gilr Lesher, his parents, Harold and Catherine Lesher. We are grateful for the many friends that touched his life and know that he touched the lives of others with his generosity and caring spirit.

A viewing will be held on Friday, 20th of February, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, Pennsylvania. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, Pennsylvania. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Halifax, Pennsylvania.
